Peek at my Joy-Filled Week & More

It  has been an awesome week! I'm sure of it!!! Even though I'm actually putting this blog post together long before Friday. Yep, you guessed it. I'm on another trip.

I did manage to make 7 cards this week before I left home, though. YAY!

Including one for my 50 Truths Worth Knowing Challenge

Small Delights Make Great Discoveries
Chapter 32

Jenifer learned a valuable lesson when her children were young. She tried to fill their lives with amazing experiences but each time she did, it seemed that they enjoyed their own version of the experience even more than the one she had planned.

She took them to the zoo, with plans to enjoy the grizzlies, flamingos, otters, elephants, and more... but what fascinated them most was a manhole cover that was slightly warped and "clunked" when they stepped on it - repeatedly!

A visit to a local bird sanctuary was another example. Instead of being fascinated by the many exotic birds, it was the plastic strips hanging down in the doorways that seemed to be most appealing.

And, perhaps most memorable of all, was the time they'd ventured out to set the hippos, but before long the children had discovered a puddle, which was far more interesting than the hippos. Back and forth they ran... each step sending splashes of water up to their shoulders. It was a delightful experience.

Yes, Jenifer learned from her children... she learned to find joy in the ordinary.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

A lovely, and valuable, wee story Jeanette - and a fabulous card to illustrate it too.

Fabulous layout for this cutie in her rain gear! My grass was happy to get a little rain action this week! I was out dancing in it without the gear!!
