Tutti Fruity

NOTE: I have two blog posts today, this one and the {PIN}Spirational Challenge one that follows it, so be sure to keep scrolling. You won't want to miss the fun at the challenge!

...Dueling Darlings...

After taking a couple of months off for a break, the Dueling Darlings are ready to duel again. YAY! And we have some new duelers who have joined us, too... Welcome Tracie, Shelly, and Suzy!!!

Kelly and I are the hostesses this time - so we put our heads together and came up with the theme...

Tutti Fruity

Here's what was in the kit that I sent to the Dazzlers:

Stamps  (Recollections 110# White CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink)
Image – Penny Black “Hedgy Gift”
Sentiment – Riley “Apples Are Dangerous”

Designer Paper
DCWV My Sunshine Stack

Embellishments
Darice Rhinestones
Hobby Lobby Decorative Trim Ribbon
Hobby Lobby Natural Hemp Cord
Recollections Apple Brads
Sew-ology Apple Button
Spare Parts Apple Shank Button
Paper Clip from an unknown vendor

Here's the card I made:

Here's the inside:

We also are giving the Dueling Darlings a little challenge... we've asked them to share a favorite fruity recipe on their blog posts.

Hmmm... I guess one of my favorites is "Snickering Apple Salad."

8 ounce of Cool Whip (thawed)
small box of instant pudding (Vanilla or White Chocolate)
4 – 6 Snickers candy bars (chopped into bite size pieces)
4 – 6 Apples (chopped into bite size pieces)

Mix together and refrigerate until chilled.
Keep in cooler at the picnic until time to serve.

NOTE: This recipe does NOT include milk!

Be sure to check out what the other Dueling Darlings created - both the Divas (with Kelly's kit) and the Dazzlers (with my kit). You can find links to their blogs in my left sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

The only thing I used on my card that wasn't in the kit was the Recollections Black Cardstock and Stampin' UP! Green Galore Cardstock.

Looking Cool

Are you ready for a new challenge? I hope so because the {PIN}Spirational Challenge Blog has a new one and I'm sure hoping you'll play along.

Try Something New

For quite a while now I've thought I wanted to try the technique where you ink up an embossing folder before using it to emboss a piece of cardstock. Today is the day!

What motivated me to do it today? The new MelonHeadz Friends Challenge did!

September 14 - 27

Theme: Try Something New

See, I just HAD to do it!

But SHEESH! I did it wrong. I am pretty sure I inked the wrong side of the embossing folder... but not to worry. I used it anyway. LOL!

Here's my card:

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
I can't wait to see what "new" things you try when you participate in the MelonHeadz Friends Challenge.
