Late, but not Too Late

As you might recall, last Tuesday I had "technical" issues - a.k.a. I'm computer-challenged/illiterate. So, I was unable to create a card for the {PIN}Spirational Challenge. But not to despair. Deanne, the owner of {PIN}Spirational Challenges helped me figure out how to fix my problem (well, that problem, anyway). THANK YOU, Deanne!

Happy Birthday Duel

Today being the 15th, it is time to get our "duel" on! What does that mean? The Dueling Darlings (a fun group) is going to show what we've made for this month's duel.

Each month a Diva and a Dazzler serve as the hostesses and they choose a theme. Then they each send kits to their respective group.

This month Dazzler Deb and Diva Judy chose this theme...

BIRTHDAYS

Deb sent an amazing kit! Here's what was in it:

DP - American Crafts, Confetti - Banana Cream Brady and Peanut Butter Benny.
Images - Whippersnappers "Little Girl and Dotted Present" and
                Stampin Up! "Birthday Whimsey" (cake)
Sentiment - A Muse "Itty Bitty Birthday"

Images and sentiment stamped in Memento Ink black and cocoa

Button - SU!
Ribbons - SU! Rose, crushed curry, orange, bermuda bay

THANK YOU, Deb!

Awww... Babies are SWEET!

And when someone is blessed with a new baby, the camera comes out and photos are taken. That's just the way it is. And what better way to show off those pictures than in a scrapbook, right?

I made a two-page layout for a new baby:

I love the little giraffe on this layout - it's a JessicaLynnOriginal stamp: Grace Giraffe

I paper-pieced part of the image to coordinate with the layout:

Girls Don't Have to Like Pink

When I think of girly, my mind immediately thinks PINK... but today, I'm thinking outside of that "norm". Why? Because the Sweet Stampin' Challenge theme is............

Girly without Pink

http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/

 Sponsor: All Dressed Up

I can handle that!

My card is has orange, lavender, green, and a few other subtle touches of color - but NO PINK!

Rolling Along with the Three Musketeers

I know it's Friday - and I usually do a Peek at My Week post on Fridays, but today I have a VERY SPECIAL post instead.

It's time for the  Three Musketeers to show our monthly projects.

This month Kelly sent out the images - remember, the Three Musketeers consist of Barb, Kelly, and myself and we alternate who stamps/sends the image that we all use. Well let me tell you, Kelly had the most gorgeous image for us this month. And it is so warm looking, which is just what I needed, since we're having a arctic blast here in the midwest right now. So Kelly, THANK YOU for the fun image and the warm virtual temperatures it brought my way.

Here's my card:

Image: Inkadinkado,
stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black
on that fabulous Recollections 110# White Cardstock
that so many of us love!

The items on my card are quite special, too:

First, I used BUTTONS for an embellishment because Kelly absolutely LOVES buttons!

Second, the ribbon I used on my card was a PRIZE that Barb sent me in one of the many swaps she hostesses! THANK YOU, Barb!

Third, the designer paper is some lovely paper that DARLENE gave me as a hostess gift some time ago and I'd been petting it and drooling... and decided it was time to use some of it. THANK YOU, Darlene!

Here's the inside of my card:

Now, be sure to go to Kelly's blog and Barb's blog to see their gorgeous creations, too!
