Expect Miracles

Today is Easter! It's a day to celebrate!

Have a BLESSED Day!

The Crafters of Faith blog group has a monthly challenge. One of us gets to select the theme and then on the last day of the month, we all post our project created with that theme in mind.

I had the privilege of being this month's hostess, and since we're all women of faith (hence our name) and Easter fell on the last day of the month, I thought the theme I chose seemed perfect.

Since we will be posting on Easter Sunday – March 31 – and since we are Crafters of Faith, I’d like us to create a religious-themed Easter card. No Easter bunnies and such, but instead a card that focuses on the Risen Lord! It can include Scripture and/or images, but needs to focus on the religious aspect of the holiday.

He is not here; he has risen! (Luke 24:6)

ummmmmmmmmmm.... NOTE TO SELF! Always look at your rubber stash before choosing a theme. LOL! Yep, you guessed it, I had NO religious-based Easter stamps. WHAT?!?!?! That's just crazy.

So, I went in search of a freebie image - or coloring book page - or something - but it HAD to be FREE, because remember, I'm doing the 100 Cards in 100 Days Challenge, so I couldn't buy anything new for my creation.

It is NOT easy to find free Christian Easter images, but I persevered and found something that I could make work, though I will admit, I'm not too happy with today's card. I do LOVE the ribbon, though.

Expect a Miracle!

Here's the inside of my card:

I hope you'll go to the other Crafters of Faith members blogs and see what gorgeous creations they have for us. You'll find the links in my left sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today - and have a HAPPY EASTER!

A wondrous card!
I love the ribbon and the freebies were great finds! Not sure what you do not truly like about the card? I would probably backed the insets with a color the match the ribbon, but then again I am color challenged! Lol

Happy Easter to you. HE has risen indeed!

Your card turned out perfectly! I don't have many religious Easter stamps either. I didn't get a chance to work on many Easter things this year.

You and me both, my friend. Not having any of the 'right' stamps for this challenge. What is up with that?! LOL

I think that you came up with a great card. The ribbon is just spot on.

Your layout features everything nicely and I like it!

Very impressive!! I love how resourceful you are in crafting! That ribbon is over-the-top, I can see why you love it. Great how you incorporated it on the inside as well. I think the quiet color scheme really has a dramatic effect on the cross image, good choice on your part. I'm so blessed to call you friend!
Hugs!
