Fresh Baked Cookies

I made a really quick card for today - because I spent too much of my "crafty" time organizing my Copic markers. LOL! I will show you pictures of that after I show you my card.

The youth group of our church are making cookies today and delivering them to the homes of some of our church members - elderly, housebound, etc - and rumor has it, they are also going to bring some to the pastor's home! YAY!!! (I live in the pastor's home - he's my husband.) Nothing like fresh-baked cookies.

Here's the inside of my card:

Now all I will need to do is write a very quick note in the card and I'll be ready to hand-deliver it to our youth group at church Sunday morning, telling them how much we appreciate their ministry of cookies!

This is my 47th card for the 100 Cards in 100 Days Challenge. (I'm getting awfully close to the halfway mark.)

Now, about my Copics! When we moved here about 1 1/2 years ago, I had to give up my wonderful Crafting Hideout - a huge room with lots of storage AND heat and AC. This house is MUCH smaller with no extra room to use, so instead I have a Crafting Cubbyhole - a makeshift area in one bay of our attached garage. It is not heated nor air-conditioned. Sooooooooo... I do not keep my Copics in my Cubbyhole. Instead I purchased an extra deep ArtBin carrying container that holds my growing collection of Copics. I store it in the floor of our coat closet.

As you can see from the picture above, the markers were in a hodgepodge mess. There was no way to keep them organized and truthfully, I found myself wasting a lot of time searching and searching for the marker I wanted to use.

Sooooo... when I read on the internet that there are trays that fit inside this case and hold markers in place, I decided that's what I needed. I googled and found what I thought was the best price.... and ordered them from Dick Blick. The delivery was fast and smooth.

My only regret is that I purchased 3 of the trays  instead of 4. I thought the refills would fit in one of the quadrants of the case, so I didn't want a tray for it. I was wrong. I have too many refills for that - and I still need to buy more refills. So I'm going to be looking for another way to store my refills... and plan to purchase another of these storage trays, too.

Look how neatly they all store now - and I will never have trouble finding the marker I want because they are WELL ORGANIZED!

Thanks for stropping by my blog today!

Love the marker storage pics. That Art Bin and insert looks like a great idea. Glad that you have found a method to organize them and gain some extra crafting time!
