Letting Off Steam

Please don't get me wrong... I'm not prone to temper tantrums. BUT occasionally I feel the need to let off a little steam. (Am I the only one?)

Perhaps that is why I always liked this little song that we often sang when I was a child:

I'm a little teapot, short and stout;

Here is my handle, here is my spout.

When I get all steamed up, hear me shout,

"Tip me over and pour me out."

In keeping with this dark side of my personality, I decided to create this card for Paola's What Song Are You? card swap on Splitcoast Stampers.

It really was a lot of fun to create. I used found items (paint chips) and a creative technique (heated pearls).

Now, go ahead and post a comment... you know you want to! And if you don't want to, do it anyway... before I get steamed. (Just kidding!)

That heated pearls background is very cool! I like the way you used the paint chips. And your image is too funny - love the expression on its face!!

That heated pearls background is GORGEOUS!! You want to know something really bad? When I was little (2-3) my aunt was about 16, and she was ornery. When she taught me that song she taught me the last line "Sock it to me baby, let it all hang out.", instead of "Tip me over and pour me out."!!!!! Now how bad is that???!!! My mom was ready to throttle her!!!! That's a great card and and it brings back funny memories! TFS!

That background is amazing!

One of my fave little songs - being short and stout myself (and I do have some steam to let out from time to time! LOL).
